Data processing

Who touches your data, and on whose instructions.

Alumanel processes personal data in your environment strictly as a processor, on your instructions. This page summarises the data processing agreement in plain language.

Roles

You are the controller of the data in your environment — tickets, requesters, comments, assets and attachments. Alumanel (SnowVolt) is the processor: we store and process that data only to provide the service, never for advertising, profiling or training models.

What we process

  • Environment data: tickets and their history, requester names and email addresses, comments, attachments, asset records.
  • Account data: admin names, emails and billing details (here we act as controller, covered by the privacy policy).

Where it lives

Your dedicated database, attachments and backups stay in the region you pinned at signup — EU (Frankfurt) or US (Virginia). Data does not move regions without an explicit, customer-initiated migration.

Sub-processors

We keep the list short and give 30 days' notice before adding one:

  • Cloud infrastructure — hosting of databases and application servers in your chosen region.
  • Email delivery — transactional notifications (ticket updates, approvals, invoices).
  • Payment processing — Stripe, for billing; card data never touches our systems.

Deletion and export

Export everything to CSV or JSON at any time. On termination, your environment goes read-only for 30 days, then the database is dropped as a unit and backups age out on a fixed schedule. We confirm deletion in writing on request.

The full agreement

A signable DPA (including SCCs where they apply) is available to every customer — ask via contact or your support engineer. It prevails over this summary.
